Evolving Scenes

Sharing the Inspiration and Beauty of our Evolving World.

Historical Escapades

There is much beauty in Earth’s history, if we choose to see it.

We can always focus on that which did not go well, or we can focus on that which worked out.

Holding onto that which worked, allows us to move beyond and build even better systems, better ways of living and being.

Holding onto that which hurt, keeps us stuck in the past, re-living past hurts, pains and injustice.

If you don’t like how something went in the past, act today in all that you say and do, that would not re-create that same course of action.

We can learn from our history, without dwelling on it, or re-living it.

May conscious thoughts, words and actions always be your guide in the present.

How did you know that I needed this post today? I suffered a big blow to my sense of self this weekend, and I was the one who dealt the blow. I’ve spent two days trying to get my mind and my heart past it, to chalk it up to life experience and move on. I am still struggling to do so even as I sit in the sun with my tea this Monday morning. Thanks for the nudge and the encouragement, Evita.

The Universe has an interesting way of playing out what we need through each of us.
I am sorry to hear about your experience.

Know that you are an amazing being of infinite potential, and usually we are the hardest on ourselves only to live up to what society and others expect of us and from us. I know you will find your way through this experience, and not to sound cliche, will come through stronger than ever.

    HI Evita,
beautiful picture and nice words once again. i guess we cannot change the past but we can improve the present ;-)

    • Evita Ochel says:

We can always change how we feel about the past – that can have the power to heal and transform the past for us.

But yes, we can always improve the present, moving into the flow of life that resonates most with us and represents us.
