Your Personal Hideaway

Where do you go when you just want to BE?
Where do you go when you want to get away from it ALL?
Where do you go when you don’t want anyone to find YOU?
Where do you go when you feel like you CAN?
Where do you go when you just want to BE?
Go there and BE ALL YOU CAN BE!

WOW…What a place ?…ducks all over the place, are they Mallards by any chance ? I would have shot them from all possible angles. I m sure you have closeup shots of these ducks, do post them sometime.
So tranquil, Evita—and active, too! Just as you would be if going there to meditate on your words written here. Once again, what you’ve said PERFECTLY matches the scene. You’re a natural!
When I need absolute peace, I like to be somewhere outdoors, away from the city. Mt. Lemmon was the most peaceful place I’ve been recently with my fiancĂ©. A peaceful place with perfect company. :)
~ Kristi
@THOMAS – Indeed it was a beautiful place where I enjoyed spending time in stillness that to tell you the truth I only took the picture as I was leaving. While I was there I was just taking in the birds and watching them in their stillness and zest for life.
But I have lots of close up duck pictures from other places – they are one of my favorite birds to shoot.
@JULIE – Oh Julie thank you so much, I really always appreciate your feedback. I really enjoy taking these pictures and the words just really flow out of me…
@KRISTI – That sounds beautiful Kristi! As nice as it is to have a moment of stillness, there is nothing like enjoying a beautiful place with special company. My husband and I actually got engaged in a tropical sanctuary just up the street from this area. I will post some pictures of it one day too.
What an adorable photo. Oooooh, I love it. All those little ducks sitting there, all facing the water. How precious is that?!!
And what you wrote I needed to hear today. Because I need a break and I think I am going to take tomorrow off and go for a full day hike. I’ve not done it in weeks and I am suffering for it. I usually go 3 times a week, but work has been intense lately.
So I need to go to my personal hideaway up on the mountain by a creek and simple do NOTHING!! Just sit and BE. Thank you my beautiful sincere friend. Love, Robin
Great place and a great picture of it. Is this your Watery Wednesday post? Next time can you put a reference to it in your post so people know which one it is when they come to look? Thanks and thanks for participating.
@ROBIN – When we are in tune with our spirit, with our true essence, we can tell right away when things are off.
I know that many people out there who do not even know they are or how to get in tune with themselves get clues too. The difference is who chooses to ignore that feeling and who actually follows it and does something about it!
I think if we ignore our spirit calling out to us enough, we get immune to the feeling and we are no longer sensitive to responding to it – perhaps that is how so many people get lost in our world today.
I definitely hope you have a chance to go for a beautiful hike tomorrow and just BE! Enjoy yourself Robin :)
@2SWEETNSAXY – Your Watery Wednesday idea was great and definitely I will put a link to it next time – thank you :)
Very nice capture!
Must be a wonderful place.
:)
A very peaceful, tranquil place to be. All those ducks would be great companions. Great photo, thank you for sharing it. I have enjoyed my visit here.
Birds of a feather flock together!
Great shot!
Looks like a lovely place to sit and contemplate.
This is beautiful and looks like a wonderful place to sit down and just think or snooze in the sunshine. Obviously the birds feel that way :-) I usually “escape” to the wetlands with my camera or to my quilting room or into a good book. I try to focus on running towards something rather than away as much as possible with God’s help.
