The Paradise of Grenada

Grand Anse Beach Grenada

This photograph is from a recent trip to the Caribbean Island of Grenada.

Today instead of some inspirational words, I thought I would share some of my views about this island.

Grenada is one of the most beautiful islands in terms of its region. The majority of the island is made up of mountains, covered with rainforests. There are plenty of waterfalls and beautiful natural sites to see.

The diversity of flora and fauna is exquisite and the climate is hot all year round.

With sparkling white sand beaches and crystal turquoise waters,  it makes for a great place to visit.

This month, all the photos featured on the site will depict various parts of the island of Grenada.

@ CHRIS – Yes, it was an amazing trip! And yes, more pictures to come. This whole month I will feature some photos from there.

@ ERIC – LOL – yeah, it is pretty contagious seeing it in photos, etc…. it is one beautiful place that is for sure!

  4. When I looked it up, I was surprised to see how close it was to south america.

Did Grenada have any camping resorts on the beaches or eco friendly tent cottages?

  5. Evita Ochel says:

@ BERN – Yes, it is really close, we were surprised too when we first looked it up. But that is exactly what made it an amazing holiday where the weather was concerned. Hot all day and hot all night! And we, funny we, don’t really enjoy air conditioning, especially when it doesn’t really work properly, in terms of, it is either off or freezing cold, so we enjoyed the heat of the night – why not! We knew we were coming back to the cold, so we made the most of soaking in the heat.

Anyhow, as for camping and tents, not that we heard about or saw. At least not in this area, although I wonder what their rules are about just putting up a tent…there was a public park right off the beach. Mind you I am not sure how secure and safe that would be. Generally it is a super safe country, but they ask people to practice caution at night in remote areas – just as I am sure one would do anywhere else.
