Peeking Into Your Dreams

When you peek into your future dreams, what do you see?
A big house? Perhaps a ranch? A Boat? A Yacht? A fancy car?
Perhaps you see financial freedom? Or maybe tropical home to retire in?
Whatever you see, do you see true happiness along side with it?
Do you see true fulfillment? Peace? Satisfaction?
Or are all these things simply what society has defined for us as the ideal “future dreams”?
Often the road to true bliss involves very little in terms of things on the outside, and has everything to do with what is inside of us.

When I peek into my dreams I see symbols. If I peek out the window, I also see symbols. The boat in the tropics is a symbol of drifting with the currents with a sense of warm comfort and ease. One may be trying to escape something, or one may be trying to obtain something, or one has truly found their home.
If one wants a bigger house, their minds may be a bit too crowded with the need to find more open space to continue to consume and only partially digest more neglected feelings.
When one realizes what and why they are doing something or working for something, the physical action or dream of the future can be dropped or modified. One is then no longer compelled to investigate and live in the puzzle of our own making. One’s life then becomes more simpler and we begin to dream our dream in the present moment, never ever again having to work for something we think we do not have in the present moment.
The inner and outer dream then merge into Oneness.
Such a perfect image to illustrate your words. And – what in the end do our dreams really mean>?!?!?
Evita, I take it your dream is a nice boat like that :)
Geez, I love this! Both what you wrote dear Evita and what Bernie wrote. It’s a double “WOW”. I think my biggest dream or heart’s desire is being fully present RIGHT NOW. And THAT is something I can have any time I want to embrace it, over and over again. To do this fully is all that really matters to me. I thrive on Life-experiences and simply being alive. To a large extent it really doesn’t matter what I’m doing. Sure there things I love doing and I do them. I am finding that what I want already exists and is RIGHT NOW. The rest is an illusion. I am ALREADY everything I need and want. I think we ALL are. It’s just a matter of seeing/feeling this. Like Bernie said, “The inner and outer dream merge into oneness.” I LOVE this!
As always thank you for inspiring me dear gentle soul. Know that you are thought of often and loved. Robin. :)
My dream is to truely experience life in what ever forms it presents itself. To enjoy each experience, being, place and thing that comes into it. I dream of beauty in many forms.
It matters not what is in our life, It is how we live the life that matters. If we are filled with abundance within, we will be filled with joy no matter what we are experiencing on the outside. This is why you can find rich and poor people that are completely misserable, and rich and poor people that are filled with bliss.
