Autumn Reflections

October’s Party
By: George Cooper

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

    This is INCREDIBLE. Not only the photo, but did you write this poem??? It’s is one of THE best I’ve ever read. You ought to enter it in a contest. I can’t believe it!!! It is magical and could be turned into a kids book. Oh!!! It’s delightful and makes me want to dance and laugh and be light of heart. The imagery is striking. You are very creative. Thank you for sharing it. Hugs and love, Robin

    I’m going to Stumble this. YEAH!!! :) :)

    I came across this poem by chance and really liked it and thought I would like to share it with others, especially that it is fall and October and all :)
