To Your Potential

Flower Rose Bud

We are born. We are fragile. We don’t know yet what the world can offer.

We grow up. We have fun. We get excited about what the world can offer.

Some of us however, somewhere along the way lose that excitement about the infinite potential of life.

Somewhere along the way, we stop seeing hope. We stop being aware of our own potential.

But just like a rose bud, imagine if it chose never to open its petals.

Imagine it lost hope of ever becoming more.

Our world would have a lot less beautiful flowers.

Thus, open your petals, even if it be one by one and discover your greatest potential.

This is lovely Evita. Just beautiful.

I chose at the age of 25 to remain open to Life even if that meant pain or loss or setbacks or vulnerability or, or, or. I made a conscious choice to commit to Life, to embrace Life and learn from whatever came my way.

At the same time I consciously realized that I wanted to live an experiential life. Not one where I learned about Life from books, healers, gurus, etc, but one where I learned about life from LIFE itself. One where I learned through rigorous hands-in-the-Earth living, fingers-on-the-pulse-of-Life living.

I have never, not even once, regretted this decision. That does not mean that my life has always been easy; it hasn’t. In fact, it was not “easy” that made me grow wise and strong and compassionate and patient. It was all the falling down and getting up, all the NOT knowing but still heading into the unknown, all the pain and suffering that made me grow, that made me rich and pithy and much like the Earth herself.

And through it all, because I chose to remain open to Life and completely trust life, and learn from all that was thrown my way I still daily marvel at all the beauty and joy and wonder of being alive. Life is forever fresh for me, forever magical and mysterious and wondrous.

Thank you for inspiring me, dear Evita.
    You are SUCH a blessing.
    Love,
    Robin

@ ROBIN – Warm thanks to you Robin for your always wise and kind words.

I really appreciate you leaving not just a comment, but a piece of yourself here – your story – your experiences and the essence of your being.

I am uplifted just by reading your story – I feel that you always serve as a role model for me – and likewise I stay open to life, and you know how much I love to marvel at what nature provides for all of our senses each day.

We live in a magical world, and my wish would be for everyone to see that, feel that and experience that – no matter what. I know it is possible.

You have cast your spell upon the world and we shall now all begin to open up our petals to reveal the essence, that is our center, in Life and Living.
