Recognition

Wild Flowers

When you do something, do you seek recognition for your actions?

Do you look for or expect others to recognize your efforts?

Do you get upset, when you do not get the attention you think you deserve?

Stop for a moment and reflect on this.

What are you actually needing or seeking in life?

May you one day come to know, that the most meaningful actions are those that are not done for recognition, but those done from the heart, simply for the joy of doing.

Dear Evita, The photo here is exquisitely dainty and your thoughts and insights just BLEW me AWAAAAY!!! I think this is one of my favorite post of yours. When you wrote: “Stop for a moment and reflect on this. What are you actually needing or seeking in life?”

WOW!!! That is SO powerful. You have raised a question that helps us all get right down to the core of ourselves. I’ve learned this to be soooo true. It is a question years ago that I learned to ask myself and in doing so it not only allowed ne to evolve, but I came to know peace. Then I simply came to know the thrill of giving because I am compelled to give because it’s WHO I AM.

Giving/sharing becomes creative expression or an art form. We no longer care what is given back. We give and share because it is the thing we most enjoy doing. To do so FILLS us with vitality and joy.

Thank you dear one. I so loved this.
Hope you are enjoying your travels.
I’m sending you lots of love and hugs,
    Robin

@ MARCIE – Thank you Marcie!

@ PEENKFRIK – Hi, I am so glad you are enjoying them. As to where I get them from… this may sound a little corny (hopefully not) but from my heart and soul. I just look at a photo and it speaks to me. And I love sharing that with others.

Thank you for your comments and feedback!

@ ROBIN – Hi Robin, you cannot imagine how amazing it was to come back and find this comment from you!!!!

My travels were great – it was an amazing and relaxing vacation at the cottage up north!

I am so touched that this post spoke to you so deeply. I have reflected on this exact message myself many times, as I have directly or indirectly experienced giving for the sake of giving, versus giving for the sake of receiving. And once I came to a point in my life where I really awoke, there was no other way to give, but simply for the sake of sharing love, talents and kindness without any expectations in return. It feels amazing and is so freeing :)
