Perceptions

Moulin Rouge

Sometimes our perceptions get the better of us.

We make good things seems bad, we make bad things seem good.

In the end the “bad” and “good” are relative to our perceptions, our beliefs and our paradigms.

See today what perceptions you hold, that may not at all be what you made them out to be.

Perceptions certainly can get you into trouble so it’s probably best not to jump to conclusions when meeting people for the first time.

The red colors in the image really interest me =)

    Evita,

When I was a kid, my dad took me to a Moulin Rouge type show…I think my mom was out of town. Because I had no perception about the show, I thought it was great fun and thoroughly enjoyed it:~)

I appreciate the reminder to watch my perceptions!

  4. A really cool and interesting frame. I like all the elements here and how they are working so well together.

@ SIRE – Yes, very wisely said Sire!

@ BLINKKY – Thank you blinkky!

@ SARA – Thanks for sharing your story Sara! Indeed, many things in our life either interest us or don’t OR get labelled in various ways by us based on perceptions, which usually are nothing more than inherited thoughts from others. It is nice to go through life looking at things brand new, to really be able to give ourselves and the world a fair chance.

@ BLUECHAMELEON – Thank you – I appreciate the feedback!

That ad plays nice with the scenery.

  7. Hicham says:

Indeed Evita, it’s all about our perception however I think we know what is ‘bad’ and what is ‘wrong’ however sometimes people perefer to ignore this.

p.s. Nice photo, you remind me of Paris but in the ‘good way’ ;)

  8. Doum says:

The perception is built by past experiment and silence signs… for me… my perception. Indeed nice picture with the thinking. Good week with sunny sky watch…

@ KOALA – Thanks! I appreciate your visit and comment!

@ HICHAM – Thanks Hicham! I will share something with you, I have learned in my personal evolution that even when things seem “bad” we personally never know the greater purpose they serve in God’s perfection. Just a thought to consider…

I now look at life and instead of labelling let’s say killing as “bad”, I don’t. I know that it does not serve me, or the greater “good” and I would not do it. I also don’t label winning the lottery as “good”, for it brings some people a lot of misery, so in the end, I really try to be conscious of not labelling, as I will never fully understand the greater purpose of each act at this time. When we use these labels they are there for personal identification, built on our personal perceptions.

@ DOUM – Thanks Doum for that thought and a great week to you too!
