Evita, as you suggest, looking up expands one’s vision. As you walk down a street, your perspective is enriched by choosing to observe different levels. You can look up, down and to different levels in between. Every level has its secrets.
The CN Tower in this image reminds me of the telecommunications tower in Tallinn, Estonia. The history of that tower and what has happened to it through the ages is a story worth taking on-board. As you look into my latest post entitled about the SInging Revolution, you learn about a meaningful documentary move that offers insight on the subject.
Hi dear Evita, This is a very interesting post because it makes people stop and think, invites them to look at the world around them in new ways. My husband LOVES clouds so he is always looking at the sky pointing the shapes, colors and textures out. I love that. As aware of nature as I am I usually live in places to thick with trees that it was harder to the sky. Now in New Mexico I live with such BIG skies and vast sunrises and sunsets that we always have amazing cloud formations that you can see coming form miles away. I love it. It just makes me feel more vast, expansive and free.
Hi Evita. I’ve been up the CN tower a few times. So you just happened to by flying by in the neighbourhood and snapped a shot? :-)Did you take a helicopter ride? I’m curious about how you came to take this shot. It’s a unique one. Usually we see the whole tower shot from the ground.
@ LIARA – Thank you Liara for the visit and enlightening input!
Definitely interested in checking out the new documentary you mentioned – thanks!
@ BLINKKY – Yeah, it is a really amazingly high tower!
@ ROBIN – Thank you so much for sharing that reflection Robin! Although this post is about the sky, every layer of our world as Liara said above had its “secrets”. From the depths of the forest floors, to mountains, to skies, etc. So there is always something amazing to see in nature, no matter what level or layer we look at :)
Wishing you a fantastic week!
@ DAVINA – Hi Davina, LOL :)I like that idea of “just flying by”. Believe it or not, this shot was taken from the ground. I have, I guess a really good lens on the camera that has a pretty amazing zoom. So nope, no helicopter ride (I have actually never been on one, but that does sound like fun).
We were just out and about in Toronto enjoying our weekend, took the camera and had some fun :)
@ CHRIS – Absolutely Chris, there is infinite beauty and treasure in all levels of our world and universe :)
What inspired me about this post, was that most people I see, always seem to go through life looking straight ahead, or down. And there is such beauty and stillness too if we look up.
I have already visited the tower once; unforgettable. I like the proximity to other roofs. This is not the same impression that a visit to the top of the Empire State Building. I loved the glass floor … I thought Evita was closer than Phoenix not Toronto. Good week.
@ DOUM – Hi Doum! That is fantastic that you had a chance to visit the CN Tower, it is a really neat place to go up and see the amazing view of the city! I have never been to the Empire State Building, although I have been to New York…maybe one day!

What a wonderful way to ‘frame’ the sky. Love how the tower splits the image in two.
is that the one in seattle? man, i’m sure there’s some awesome views there.. :)
Evita: What a neat structure in the sky. It looks very large.
Have you ever been inside that structure? Looks captivating and a great vantage point for taking pictures.
Thanks for visiting GDP!
Jan
@ MARCIE – Thanks Marcie!
@ RIAN – Hi Rian, no this is in Toronto (the CN Tower) and yes it does have great views of the city.
@ FISHING GUY – Hi, yes, it is the CN Tower and it is huge!
@ GREENSBORO DAILY PHOTO – Hi Jan, yes I have been inside, they even have a restaurant up there!
Have never taken pictures from there though. It is one of those things that is more of a tourist attraction than anything else.
Have a great weekend!

The image still clear even the tower is really high.

Hi Evita,
Yes I agree, but not only the sky! The whole universe is a treasure, full of surprise and beautiful things to see :-)
