Solitary Moments

Swan on Beach

Are you comfortable spending time by yourself?

Being alone does not need to mean lonely.

Being alone does not need to mean sad.

Allow yourself to feel comfortable spending time with yourself.

Allow yourself to really get to know yourself.

For if you are not comfortable spending time with yourself, how can we expect others to want to spend time with us?

What a beautiful image of this lone swan. I’m a big fan of ‘alone time’ – just me and my camera.
    Happy Canada Day!!!!

I like the way you have framed this with the swan, along with the water and sand altogether. very nicely done =D

How true! One needs to be comfortable when alone, for who better to understand you than your own self!

Do you have a wire tap on what’s going on inside my head? So many spooky synchronicities between your posts and my life! But I’m not complaining! :)

I have gotten used to my own company and am spending a lot of solitary time back here in the States as old friends have moved away and less-close friends do not seek out my company so much, nor I theirs. I take advantage of it to nourish myself, doing things I don’t always get to do when I’m living with my fiance and following our very demanding Greek schedule.

@ MARCIE – Thanks Marcie, yes it was nice to have a day off in the middle of the week :)

That kind of “alone” time is so soothing I find and one can really reconnect with self and nature!

@ LIANG – Thanks, I really appreciate that feedback :)

@ SADIA – Thanks for the comment and stopping by Sadia!

@ CHANIA GIRL – LOL, yeah sometimes life reaffirms a lot for us through these odd little synchronicities. But I take it all to mean that we are on the right track, wherever we are moving towards or just being.

I have never minded time alone in my life either. I found an amazing serenity to it! Now I do spend most of my time with my husband, but even when we are together, we still are able to feel that personal connection with the self.

    @ BEANOW – Thank you :)
