To Know Or Not To Know

Today I offer you a reflection from the great Lao Tzu:
“To know, yet to think that one does not know is the best;
Not to know, yet to think that one knows will put one in difficulty.
That the sage meets with no difficulty is because he is alive to difficulty.
That is why he meets with no difficulty.”
Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching

Extraordinary color. Love the composition.
Yes! Great work.
Hi Evita,
This is a great thought of this man, that you illustrated with beautiful colors.
Hi Evita. “To know, yet to think that one does not know is the best…” This is so true. If we’re too full of ourselves, there is no room for anymore learning. Was this photo taken recently? It reminds me of late summer, early fall. But whatever season, it’s a beautiful shot.
@ MARCIE – Thank you Marcie!
@ BEANOW – Thanks Beata!
@ CHRIS – Thank you Chris – the writings of Lao Tzu are over 5,000 years old I think and so wise and applicable to this day.
@ DAVINA – Hi Davina – yes the photo was actually taken at the end of this May. I guess the colors really emphasize fall as opposed to spring. I took a photo of this “flower tree” as it was so unique in its coloring and I have never seen it before – thank you!
