@ DOROTHY - Thank you Dorothy! I do love to be in nature and take photos of nature - they really do ground a person, especially in today's world.

Thank you for the mention on your blog and all the best to you always!

@ MARTIE - Thanks Martie! The way I approach this Martie in terms of being kind to all - that means all human animals and non-human animals is simply to be conscious.

When we are conscious of our words and actions only the best comes out of us. We must be slower to "REACT" and instead break each moment with some consciousness to bring out the highest version of us in each situation!

Perfect words - and a timely reminder as summer is fast approaching and we are all getting out more and more. Remembering to be kind to all can sometimes be difficult.

I love the same kind of photos you do as they seem to bring me peace. I hope you don't mind that I referred to your site on my blog as I am so impressed with the book The Compass and have already promised it to a few friends.

@ BEANOW - Great to hear - thanks Beata!

@ THOMAS - Thanks Thomas - I always appreciate good input when it comes to techniques in photography!

@ MARCIE - Thanks Marcie - I feel very passionately about this topic as in the past couple of years it has dawned on me stronger and stronger why we discriminate against different species so much. Aren't they all amazing creatures? Aren't we all?

@ CHRIS - You are welcome Chris - and indeed preferences can be good, but flat out denial of another species I think is a messeage to us of a bigger issue within us.

And of course...isn't that the case with everything, that the "rare" are the most prized. But I think we often overlook so many of the common things around us (not just animals) and forget the great gift they serve too :)

Hi Evita,
Agreed totally. We do have some preference and you can see that with photo competition or pictures of photographers. it is clear that you not gonna win a competition with a starling picture!! Why not, it is too common!!
Thanks for the text and the thought!

Beautiful image Evita, I would have composed these birds slightly more towards the left, but that's ofcourse a matter of personal taste.
