Presenting The Lilacs

Lilac in Hand

This week on EvolvingScenes.com we will have a special feature week all dedicated to the beautiful and fragrant lilacs.

Lilacs originated in Europe and Asia and today can be found all over North America, blooming mostly throughout the months of May and June.

Did you know that there are over 1000 varieties of lilac?

Hence this week, I will feature just a small taste of these magnificent flowers, that fill the air each spring, with their sweetly intoxicating fragrance. Hope you enjoy!

There’s simply nothing so wonderful as the scent of an armful of lilac branches in a huge vase in front of a window that is open to the springtime breezes! Ah….. :) Lilacs are right up there with peonies, in my book! Thank you for the memories, Evita.
