@ BEANOW - Thanks, it is isn't it!?

@ MARTIE - Thank you so much Martie for that feedback!

@ NAMAKI - Thank you and thanks for visiting Evolving Scenes!

@ DAVINA - Thank you Davina and very brave of you. You know that speaks volumes about your character and how you are willing to step out and take risks where other perhaps would simply retreat back into comfort and safety. But it is by taking risks that we give ourselves our greatest opportunities for growth - way to go!

Hi Evita. Terrific shot. This cactus doesn't look as threatening as most. I want to reach out and touch it.

@ THOMAS - LOL it is thorny isn't it!? I find most cactuses such fascinating plants!

@ ERIC - What I have found in my life Eric is that whatever we resist, generally speaking persists.Sort of like making a bad situation worse in some respect. Say I don't like my job, I have 2 choices to adapt to it, one to learn to like it by focusing on other, positive aspects of it or quit (i.e. remove myself from the unwanted situation).

I think that whatever we show great dislike towards and great negative emotion to works against us. In essence we are wasting energy on something that we are not happy about to begin with. Hence, we can adapt by giving energy to that which is positive about a certain situation, person, place or thing. And if we do this honestly, after a while we will find that that "thing" no longer "bugs" us as much as we thought if at all.

Good advice about adapting rather than resisting. However, is it possible in some situations that to really adapt, you have few options other than to resist?
