Emotion Invoking

Woman of Emotion

When you interact with others each day, do you see names, colors, faces and races?

Or do you see the magnificence and uniqueness of the human spirit?

When you interact with others each day, do you bring out sadness, fear, anger and hostility in them?

Or do you invoke joy, love, peace and happiness in them?

We touch each being’s emotions that we come into contact with each day.

The question only remains, “what kind of emotion?”

    @ BEANOW – Thank you :)

@ MARCIE – Thanks so much Marcie, it was such a pleasure to photograph her, as her joy was so genuine. What was more interesting is as you can see, she lives in an area of poverty and yet had such a sparkle of happiness in her eyes, more real than most people who have lots of possessions may ever have.

@ MARTIE – Thank you and thanks so much for your visit!

@ MARCO – You are so welcome Marco and thank you for yours, and the feedback :)

@ EYES WIDE SHUT – Thank you. I feel them within and hope to always live them out to my highest potential.

Such a vivid portrait, love your B&W as much as the way you see*

Nice picture, Evita, but I have to admit that, when I see people, I see all the things you mention, and more. I see those things for my own protection, which may seem odd, but being minority in America, I need to know where I stand, and when I can bring my shields down or have to continue leaving them up. So, I process it all, act on it all, but usually starting out with positive thoughts, though staying weary of what could potentially come.

See, never a simple answer with me. ;-)

@ SUZANNE – Thank you so much!

@ k@ – Thank you, I really appreciate your input.

@ MITCH – Hi Mitch – that was great, I love that you elaborated and shared your thoughts here!

What you say makes perfect sense, this is how society has shaped us and I believe we are just NOW starting to break out of old paradigms and old conditioning.

I DO believe that we will see huge breakthroughs in human thinking in the next coming years as we move towards a more united stance and we all take more accountability for how we touch other people’s lives.

  12. Mitch says:

I’m hopeful, Evita, but then I read things like this and wonder if any real progress is being made.

  13. standley says:

    A wonderful and moving portrait!

  14. Evita says:

@ MITCH – Mitch I have to tell you, the news headlines are our worst enemies. They tell you all that is wrong with the world and very little if anything of what is right. Therefore I highly recommend avoiding them, or they truly suck us in and suck us down into a world full of drama and negativity. But it doesn’t have to be that way. I believe that we each create the world that we want – it starts with our thoughts, our actions and our words.

And so be hopeful and even more than hopeful as you find the beauty in the world that is just waiting to be discovered and multiplied :)

@ STANDLEY – Thanks so much Richard :)

  15. John says:

    A lovely captured portrait, Evita!

  16. Mitch says:

True Evita, the news headlines are our worst enemy at times, but sometimes information protects us. Like this information, even though it’s in Texas, I’m originally from Texas, and thus it’s information I’d have needed if I’d still lived there. I don’t feel we help ourselves when we dodge reality, but how we react to reality determines our values and our strength, and hopefully our happiness and content.
