Sky Through the Eyes of a Tree

We come across so many people each day and so many of their experiences.
We judge. We label. We ridicule.
But what would happen if we saw life through their eyes?
Could it be that perhaps their choices or their decisions might not turn out so “bad” after all?
Let us therefore today, see life through the eyes of another and watch how our perspective on thingsĀ changes.

Hi Evita – I love this post. It reminds me of the one that says something like, “never judge a man until you’ve walked a mile in his shoes”.
Beautiful shot and text.
Lovely image and prose to go with.
Enjoyed the philosophical comment and image. Blue Skies.
Beautiful shot and as always love your text.
@ BARBARA – Hi Barbara – yes, indeed there is a line like that. Many of us hear it and perhaps apply it one moment or one day. But can you imagine our world if we all lived by it? Ah, the possibilities :)
@ SECRET MOM THOUGHTS – Hi and thank you :)
@ JEW WISHES – Thank you for stopping by and your feedback :)
@ KEN – Hi Ken thanks as always for your feedback :)
@ DANIEL – Hi Daniel – thank you so much!!
Yes, our perspective quickly changes when we shift positions. If we view everyone with love, we will find that it is not in us to judge.
@ MARK – That is beautifully said Mark – thank you!
Oh never mind my email:~) I am such a duh sometimes! :)
I love this post! It makes me recollect at how I interact with people that enter my life.
Empathy is really such a powerful tool…I always say that: “If you think you don’t know someone, just look in the mirror.” ~Henie~
I love how I feel when I am on your site! Thank You for YOU! :~)
Always,
Henie
@ HENIE – Hi Henie! Yes I so agree with you about empathy. I work with teenagers as a teacher and I have to tell you they are wonderful and I love them in so many aspects for the amazing young spirits they are, but there is one thing they are greatly lacking today and that is empathy. It is something that somehow got excluded from their upbringing, – it is not a parent problem, but I think society overall in how we have decided to go about things.
Anyhow Henie thank you so much for your valuable input and thank you for the beautiful compliment – it warmed my heart and soul more than you can imagine :)
Hi Evita. What a beautiful tree! This post resonates with my “new” attitude. I’ve taken to reminding myself about lightening up on myself and others by feeling compassionate. We are all in the same boat and I can totally see how we can change our perspective by “seeing” through other eyes.
@ DAVINA – That is wonderful to hear! Many times as we go through life we do take ourselves and others “too” seriously and it can lead to all sorts of negative feelings and/or emotions.
We all have our own journeys, and in the end not one is better than another, as they are our personal ways of experiencing ourselves as we want or need to.
Beautiful shot and great words.
@ DANIEL – Thanks Daniel! I feel the words come so naturally to me as I just take in the picture.
Your photo could been taken off our back deck! We just extended it off the back of the house so we could be closer to the trees. Nothing quite like being there with nature.
@ ROTO – That is awesome to hear! There really is nothing like being closer to nature! It just gives us such a great feeling of peace and serenity – you much be loving this extension :)
