Captivity

How do you feel when you cannot do what you really want?

What do you feel when you experience restrains?

How do you live when you are restricted from doing what you are called to do?

Now take those feelings and apply them to all the beings of this planet.

No one, no thing deserves to live in captivity.

Every organism, every species deserves to live out life the way they want, the way they came here to do.

If we do not enjoy feeling restrained and held captive, whether it be physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually – why then do we insist on inflicting this injustice on other species?

Is is because we think they have no voice? Their emotions speak louder than words, if only we can allow ourselves to hear them.

All the things you so eloquently described is what happens when man thinks he becomes God and supersedes Nature.

It’s quite a contradiction the very thing we fight and die for, we quickly take from others.

    Hi Ric

You saw deeper into this post and that is something I want to inspire more of us to do in our world today.

We have talked the talk long enough, I think it is time for humanity to start to walk the walk.

“Do unto others – as you would have done unto you” – such a simple thing and yet we apply it with such exceptions and limitations. To me others includes all the humans and animals and plants.

I’m sure like you said if we would only listen to their voice the shackles would break.
The picture speaks for itself !

  4. Evita says:

Hello Sadia – It really does, doesn’t it – thanks for your visit :)

Stunner Evita. The sadness on the monkey faces shows it wants to be free, maybe. Beautifully shot

  6. Evita says:

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you! I have no doubt that the monkey would have a whole other life if it were free. But it is of course not just about the monkey – this one at least seemed to be treated humanely by its trainers, but there are many animals – too many in fact – who are not just held captive but treated beyond anything that can be considered humane.

  7. It is really fantastic picture….!
