    Evita,
Gorgeous..absolutely gorgeous!!! May I share this? It has been quite windy here recently. As I walk Magic around the harbor, I gaze up at the birds in flight and notice that instead of ‘powering into’ the wind, they spread their wings wide and just glide, allowing wind to carry them..Huge reflection..as are your words above:)

Perhaps the Path or the Trail often leads us to the Way of our Dreams. However, we often feel we have reached a dead end. But by redefining what it means to find ourselves at the edge of a cliff, or in darkness, or where the trail vanishes into pure wilderness…….. instead of turning back in confusion and in fear, we can boldly go where no one has gone before, by inviting new light into darkness…. by jumping off of cliffs without concern for safety, or by leaving the path or discipline we have rooted and rutted ourselves into complacency. We can learn to leave the land of friction and bondage and let go to enter into relationship with the converging dreams that intersect in this one moment. By hearing the voice or the message or knowing what to inherently do without thinking, we too can leave the ground and fly without effort where no destination is desired or even attainable. One then learns to hover and float effortlessly and blissfully always.

And what a beautiful flight we are on! Whether the days are calm or stormy, there is such dynamic beauty in all that we experience!

Yes, you are right – thank you! I looked up the images of the American Tree Sparrows and they definitely resemble this little one.

At first I thought a redpoll of some sort…. not the common, but the hoary. The red patch on the head confused me a bit. But when I looked at the hoary red poll, the size first of all does not match, this bird was much bigger than the common red polls or to be classified as very small. Then other features did not match up either…

So American Tree Sparrow it is :)
