May I Introduce Myself

Hello!

How Are you?

May I introduce myself?

I am not you. My skin is not the same texture or color as yours. I do not eat the same things as you or believe in the same things as you. I do not spend my time the same as you. I do not label things the way you do.  I do not dress the same either.

Does that make me less than you – or worse than you?

I hope not; I hope you can see past all that and accept me as simply another aspect of you.

I love this photo, and what you wrote is so precious. It might seem a simple truth but is actually very profound in terms of how we humans look at each other and our differences, as well as how we look at other species. So too often all we see is the differences when I believe we actually have far more in common with each other and with other species. I love these photos You’ve done. So many beauties.

Running slower with blogging these days due to work, but I wanted you to know I’ve thought of you many times. I was just telling my husband about you yesterday evening. And it brought tears to my eyes. Was telling about the depth of your inner beauty and how your natural outer beauty was made almost ethereal because you are such a shining light. My image of you is always the one with your face on the moss with the leaves around your hair. That is incredible!!! Sending you much love and a big hug, always. Robin

    Hello Robin!

It is great to hear from you! I am glad all is well.
Thank you for the kind words and wishes as always :)

  4. It looks like it is doing that formal thing where you put a hand in front of you and make a circling gesture while introducing yourself, if that makes sense.

It is true, that even though our skin, size, etc. is different, humans, animals, crustaceans, etc. all share one thing in common: being alive.
